This trend of lame PC ports would continue on for 3 more games. The plot is a watered-down version of the console game's story, only really having the same premise. All of the minigames only use the mouse and the left mouse button, meaning they can all be played with one hand. Most of the minigames are extremely easy and boring.
When they aren't boring, they are either broken or extremely confusing. For example, the minigame 'Hall of Arms' doesn't give you any clues about how to solve the puzzles, causing the solutions to seem completely random.
There are 5 trivia stages that are all trivial due to the fact that the wrong answers are obvious. In these trivia stages, you have to wait for the 10 second timer to clock out even after choosing an answer. A couple of the questions in the trivia stages are outright wrong. Examples include one that asks for the color of Gary's food bowl with the answer being purple, and another that asks what costume Spongebob wore to the Halloween party at the Krusty Krab. The answer here was simply a ghost despite giving The Flying Dutchman as a possible answer, which is what his costume in the episode was supposed to be. Character names are misspelled in the text multiple times.
For example, Squog is mispelled as Squagg. The platforming stages border on being broken due to bad collision detection. The pre-rendered cutscenes have horrible animation. Lame script.
