Xbox 360 Controller Vista 64 Bit
Hello all,I'm trying to use my wired Xbox 360 controller with my (which only has USB3 plugs), I plugged in the 360 controller and windows told me: 'Device driver software was not successfully installed'. I also installed(and drivers from the Asus website) but it doesn't do anything. When I plug in the controller, the 360 sign on the controller lights up for a few seconds and then it stops. The controller itself does work with other laptop's (USB 2.0) ports, so it's not the controller itself.I have contacted Asus about this problem and they say to install the latest drivers (which I did) and that there otherwise could not be a problem, they cannot provide support for third party hardware.Any ideas? Thanks! I found our solution.very simple.First, downloadsecond, using winrar, right click and extract to Xbox360xxThird, connect the control will not install the driver. Now that is the big secret.Go to 'Device Manager', right click on the device and click 'update driver' - seek driver software on the computer - Let me pick from a list of device drivers on your computer - search for 'usb human interface device '- is probably already come to theXbox 360 controller for windows.
If it does not click 'have disk' and browse to the path where you extracted the file eg 'C: Users dmsanderson Downloads Xbox36032Ptb xbox360 setup files driver win7'good luck friend. This was my solution.Sorry poor english. Hope you understandsee ya!
Xbox 360 Controller Driver Windows 10
I am unable to get my 360 controller to register in Control Panel/Game Controllers. When I plug it into the USB port (Intel(R) ICH10 Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 3A3C), it registers and installs the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller via Play & Charge Kit software. The controller is shown in Control Panel/Device Manager/Microsoft Common Controller for Windows Class Downloaded Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories 1.1 (Xbox36064Eng.exe) and installed.
Controller does not register in the Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories Status application. Other information: Windows Vista 64bit Home Premium Wired Xbox 360 controller Tried 2 different controllers Tried 3 different USB ports Changed device driver and used all the drivers installed with Microsoft Xbox 360 Accessories 1.1 Uninstalled Plug and play driver and tried Accessories drivers When I press the center button on the controller, it turned on my Xbox down stairs. The light on the charger plug shows red.
USB drivers are current. Thanks for the response. I figured out what was happening and I think this is working as intended. A wired controller works. It connects, registers, and is playable. A wireless controller attached with a Plug and Play cord will only charge the controller. It will not register the controller.
Therefore, the controller is unusable. (This is what I was doing. It would be nice if it worked) The only way to get a wireless controller to work is to have the Wireless Receiver. With the receiver, a controller will register and is playable. Thanks for the response. I figured out what was happening and I think this is working as intended. Aaa full site.
